Showcasing photography and fine art inspired by the incredible and unique wildlife of New Zealand
Mandy Hague was born in Whakatāne and the daughter of two artists, has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. Her art reflects an intense fascination for the natural world with her works commonly featuring New Zealand birds and animals. Mandy mostly paints in Acrylic and sometimes watercolours. She has an Advanced Diploma in Art from the TLC art school in Wellington.
Mandy has won numerous awards for her paintings including the Rotorua Art Awards and the Venetta Miles Art award.
In an effort to source reference images for her paintings, Mandy diversified into photography, a skill which later grew to become a separate passion. She is an active member and past president of the Whakatāne Camera Club, earned an Associateship of the New Zealand Photographic Society and has won major awards in New Zealand photographic Competitions including Highly Commended in New Zealand Geographic Photographer of the Year.
